Pause
Seven scenarios. Seven domestic moments on the edge of escalation. Seven people who pause instead, and name what they feel rather than act on it.
Pause is not a documentary about family violence. It is a series of short scenarios showing moments that could escalate into violence, but don't, because one person pauses and names what they feel rather than reacting. It models alternative behaviour rather than depicting harm. The goal is early prevention, a free private resource accessible on any phone. This film is designed for the moment before patterns are established, not for people in situations of established violence or coercive control.
This film was made for one person. The person who doesn't want to lose control but doesn't yet have the words for what they're feeling. Who has five minutes and a phone and no one needs to know they watched it. Who might reflect privately, see their own behaviour, name it, and think about their choices.
Reviewed prior to release by practitioners with clinical experience and lived experience in the family violence sector.
